Gateway Science Museum
Chico, CA

Gateway Science Museum engaged Gyroscope as visitor experience planners and exhibition designers for the launch of their new facility. The Museum is part of the Division of Natural Sciences at Chico State University whose goal is to create science learning opportunities and programs that draw on the University’s research interests. Our concept included indoor and outdoor experiences related to Northern California, combined with 2500 square feet of traveling exhibit space. The Museum is implementing Gyroscope’s concept in phases. Phase one, which opened in 2014, is Modern Farming, an interactive exhibit highlighting innovations in North State agriculture as well as the ways in which farming shapes the community . Planned and designed by Gyroscope, the exhibit includes exhibits on research at the University’s College of Agriculture, a living rice pond, agricultural technologies, and careers in farming.

Opened: 2010
