Tim Phillips has been a designer at Gyroscope since 2009. He trained as an architect in the UK and works with a design philosophy based on relational aesthetics and active research that has been developed through collaboration on numerous public and community projects throughout the U.S., Europe and even a couple in Africa.
Tim brings a hands-on style of development to his work, with a passion for building and testing things. In addition to work with Gyroscope, Tim is also a sound artist and musician who performs and exhibits regularly in the Bay Area. His work looks at making people curious about sounds and rhythms, while using participation and collaboration to encourage interdisciplinary and unexpected outcomes.
