Steve Tornallyay directs creative growth strategies at Gyroscope. With twenty years of combined experience as an exhibit designer and museum director, he joined Gyroscope in 2012 to develop visions and strategies for creating new learning experiences and environments. As director of exhibits and facilities at the Children’s Discovery Museum (CDM) of San Jose, he worked on strategic planning to create a new vision for the future, developed and installed new exhibitions, and managed the exhibit design and production and facility maintenance teams.
Prior to San Jose, Steve served as Senior Associate and lead designer at West Office Exhibition Design in Oakland, where he worked on a wide variety of projects spanning interactive experiences, artifact-based installations, science, art, and history.
Steve has experience with a wide range of exhibition methods and styles. His most recent projects for Gyroscope include Driving Our Dreams, a temporary exhibition of concept cars at Heritage Museums and Gardens in Sandwich, MA.
