Chicago Children's Museum - Skyline
Skyline, an innovative exhibit funded by the National Science Foundation, focuses on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) and family learning. Gyroscope not only designed the exhibit but also wrote the grant proposal. An independent evaluation found that the exhibit met all of its major goals, including increasing adult-child interactions, engaging visitors in documenting their own learning, and creating a platform that supports on-going research by the Museum's partners.
Winner 2010 AAM Award for Excellence in Exhibition Design, Special Achievement in Cooperative Learning.
Redmond Barnett, who served on the jury said, they thought Skyline was “utterly MAGNIFICENT” and especially “loved the integration of the scholarly and professional community” in the exhibit’s development and design.
